One of the annual events Tucson #82 holds each year is an event we call the Tin Cup Open. The Tin Cup Open is a unique event that combines a bar crawl with an actual miniature golf tournament. Participants purchase a ticket, create a foursome, and play mini golf at 9 different bars around downtown Tucson. And of course, whats a round of golf without an after party? After the game is done, all the players and participants gather for an after party/award ceremony where we give out awards for the most spirited, best team score, and best individual score.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we had to postpone last year’s Tin Cup Open, but lucky for you you’ll get a taste of what its like to participate in one of our favorite events of the year. Don’t believe us? Here’s a couple pictures to help you understand why:

The Mini Tin Cup Open

On Friday, after our welcome mixer, we’ll be boarding a bus bound for Downtown Tucson where you will be able to participate in a miniature version of the Tin Cup Open. Participants will go between 3 bars in downtown Tucson, trying to get the best score at each of the holes. After making the rounds, it will all culminate in an after party at Boxyard, one of Tucson’s newest bar concepts.

NOTE: Only the first 54 registrants via the National Convention registration portal will be signed up to receive complimentary transportation to and from downtown Tucson, so make sure to register now!

What to bring or wear?

We will have all the golf equipment at each of the bars you’ll visit so no need to bring your trusty putter.

However it can still be in the 90s at night in Tucson so make sure to wear something light and breathable. Golf attire, no matter how crazy is encouraged.
